Vitter the Shitter
Let's hear it for David "The Shitter" Vitter, another repressed conservative wanker exposed as a hypocrite. The junior U.S. Senator from Louisiana has been implicated in the DC Madam Sex Scandal.
Personally, I couldn't care less what one does in the bedroom. If a man gets his jollies by paying hookers to dress him up in diapers so he can shit himself, so be it. It certainly sounds messy and unappealing, but behind closed doors your business is your own. In fact, I thought that used to be a conservative principal. But for the very same man to position himself as a "family values" conservative and rail against gay marriage and fight for the promotion of abstinence is the zenith of hypocrisy.
How many more of these two-faced pricks are out there? I am hoping this is another nail in the coffin for "family values" conservatives. Mind your own business and focus on your own damn family!

9/11 Redux
A lot of you out there believe the cover story that a group of Muslim extremists commandeered the planes that caused the 9/11 attacks. I don't buy it for the reasons outlined below. In short the towers were brought down by explosives in a massive exercise designed to usher in a new militaristic era in the United States. Six years later, it is clear the plan worked.
The idea that members of our own government could be complicit in such an attack is hard to fathom. But clearly, after reviewing the evidence, there is much more to the story of that fateful September day. The government has repeatedly stone-walled any investigations into the matter and the 9/11 Commission Report was a white-wash that overlooked a lot of key evidence. What is it that they have to hide? Simply the biggest crime against humanity in history.
The events of 9/11 have set this planet on a dangerous course. If you are familiar with 9/11 research, nothing below will be news to you. But if you are just beginning to dig into the story then...
Here are the top issues that point to idea that the events of 9/11 were a conspiracy orchestrated from within our own government:
1. World Trade Center, Building 7 (WTC7)
Many people don't know that a 3rd building collapsed that day, in a strikingly similar manner to the collapse of the twin towers. Only WTC7 wasn't hit by a plane. The official story is that it collapsed due to a fire caused by diesel fuel, which was caused by falling debris from the towers. WTC7 housed Guiliani's command bunker and various offices including the NSA, the CIA, the Secret Service and the SEC. Remember the Enron case? Much of that paperwork vanished in the rubble of WTC7.

2. The Gold!
What happened to the gold? Why is there no mention of it in the official 911 report?

3. Operation Vigilant Guardian
What about the massive Air Force training exercise that was running the same day? Vanity Fair reported that the “day’s exercise” was “designed to run a range of scenarios, including a ‘traditional’ simulated hijack in which politically motivated perpetrators commandeer an aircraft, land on a Cuba-like island, and seek asylum.” The outcome was that NORAD was initially confused as to whether the 9/11 attacks are real or part of the exercise. Read the full timeline here.

4. Marvin Bush
George Bush's younger brother was in charge of the company that provided security at the WTC complex and Dulles airport.

5. Mysterious shutdown of the Twin Towers the weekend before the attacks.
According to Scott Forbes, an IT guy at Fiduciary Trust on the 93rd floor of one of the towers, the weekend before the attacks both towers were shut down for an unusual maintenance -- a condition called a "power down," supposedly for an cabling upgrade. All power from the 50th floor and above was cut in both towers. According to Forbes there were unidentified workmen in the building. It was at this time that explosives could have been planted.

The Final Stage: Completing the Coup d'Etat of 2000
Many people on the political fringe (including me) believe that the first stages of the take-over of the United States government occurred in Florida during the 2000 Presidential election. The Supreme Court ruled in favor of George W. Bush by disallowing a recount that would have elected Al Gore had it been allowed to continue. A conservative Supreme Court installed the younger Bush into office in a bureaucratic coup d'etat.
Amidst sagging poll numbers for his first year in office, young Bush was bailed out by the orchestrated 9/11 disaster - an event which 40% of Americans believe the U.S. Government was complicit in some manner. Using 9/11 as the excuse, an event chillingly foreshadowed by the neoconservative think tank Project for a New American Century who wrote that what America needed was a "New Pearl Harbor," the Bush administration has launched wars, clamped down on civil liberties and paved the way for a complete takeover of the U.S. government.
Here is how I think it will play out:
Within the next year there will be another "attack" on US soil and it will be blamed on Iran. It may be a dirty bomb or worse. However it happens, it will cause sufficient damage, death and panic that the Bush administration will suspend the 2008 Presidential elections and put the country into a permanent State of Emergency. Internet access will be severely limited, thereby locking down the one communication channel dissenters on the left and right have come to rely on to organize and communicate. Private security forces such as Blackwater will be brought in to quell the initial outrage of the population.
In the first few days after the State of Emergency declaration there would be a lot of outcry and unrest, but I don't think much would be done. Certainly there would be large protests at first -- perhaps even a large-scale march on Washington. But without the internet, these actions would be hard to coordinate. There will likely be a few high profile shootings of innocent demonstrators, just to keep those on the political fence in their homes. Slowly, over time, as the shock wore off, most people would get back to the daily grind of their lives. Americans would go back to work. Perhaps the most vocal critics would be quietly removed from society and locked in FEMA concentration camps.
On the other hand, perhaps 40% of the population would welcome the psychological safety of a military state. Certainly Big Business wouldn't mind one bit. Corporations are essentially fascist structures and would prosper in the new authoritarian United States. If the threat of more terrorist attacks were used to keep people in a constant state of fear, the State of Emergency could continue indefinitely. Dissenters would be labeled unpatriotic and weeded out as threats to the peaceful order.
After only a few years of this, people would begin to forget that democracy ever existed in the first place, particularly if access to the filtered mainstream media and popular consumer products continued unabated. Likely the illusion of democracy would be maintained via rigged electronic voting. A kinder, gentler fascism will have taken hold in the United States with the Texas-Military-Oil Crime Syndicate as the permanent heads of state.

Facebook a Government Data-Mining Operation?
Word from the fringe is that Facebook is a data-mining operation brought to you by the spooks at the Total Information Awareness office. Why am I not surprised? According to the piece, they are aggregating the socio-political trends of the Facebook demographic. This made the rounds on Above Top Secret and this site has some good information linking a couple CIA corporate fronts to the popular social networking destination. It makes you wonder what the Dark Emperor Murdoch is doing with all of his MySpace info...
